The Horizon Europe project will showcase its vision for trustworthy European data spaces at a key security innovation event.
TrustED is showcasing its advances during SMI2G 2026 Security Mission Information & Innovation Group Event, taking place in Paris on 23–24 April 2026. The event is one of Europe’s leading forums for networking, collaboration and consortium building within the Civil Security for Society community under Horizon Europe.
The participation at SMI2G reflects the project’s commitment to contributing to Europe’s strategic priorities in privacy, trust and secure data exchange. As the European Union continues to invest in reliable digital infrastructures and collaborative innovation, the project is proud to be part of the conversation helping define the next generation of trusted digital services.
A strategic opportunity for visibility and collaboration
SMI2G is widely recognised as an important meeting point for the European security research and innovation community. Its programme brings together high-level discussions, networking opportunities and brokerage sessions designed to support future partnerships and prepare the ground for upcoming Horizon Europe opportunities.
For TrustED, this is a valuable opportunity to present its work to a specialised audience and strengthen connections with organisations active across the security, digital identity and data innovation landscape. The event also creates space for meaningful dialogue around the technologies and frameworks needed to enable secure and privacy-preserving interactions across sectors.
TrustED provides citizens and organisations with a secure and interoperable digital identity solution that allows them to collaborate with various organizations while maintaining the privacy and trust of all those involved.
This european initiative aims to position itself as a referent in the research and development of digital identity technologies, contributing to the creation of a more secure environment for the exchange of confidential data and the formation of federated learning networks.
Engaging with Europe’s security and innovation community
As digital transformation accelerates across Europe, trust is becoming a defining requirement for innovation. Secure access to data, transparent governance and privacy-aware technologies are no longer optional: they are essential to creating systems that people and organisations can rely on. TrustED addresses this challenge by helping lay the foundations for a more secure and trustworthy data-sharing environment. Its approach supports both technological innovation and European values, combining digital efficiency with strong safeguards for privacy, autonomy and confidence.
Participation in SMI2G 2026 will allow TrustED to increase the visibility of its goals, exchange knowledge with peer initiatives and identify new opportunities for collaboration. It will also reinforce the project’s role within a broader European effort to foster digital sovereignty, trusted data ecosystems and resilient security frameworks.
With its multidisciplinary consortium and forward-looking vision, TrustED is well positioned to contribute to discussions on the future of secure digital interaction in Europe. Paris will provide an excellent setting to share that vision, connect with key stakeholders and continue building momentum around the project’s objectives.
